finally, my wedding checklist is done *wipe sweat*
it's so.. thorough? and it turned me white everytime i look at it. ooh banyaknya benda nak kena beli..haha.

we already finalised the wedding date and some other important stuffs. there's a funny story behind this date issue, all related to my superstitious mom lah. she was pestering me to give her my options for the dates so that she can check with the ustaz if it's good dates -"mana boleh buat masa bulan jatuh" yada yada.. nonsense yada yada.. makruh. aiyoyo kadavaleii. to me, semua hari yang Allah buat is good. so malas nak pening2, i just decided a date and told her and nyaris terperanjat when she said "ok. kira aci dah la tarikh tu". wonder what got into her. she even volunteered to book the mosque for the akad nikah. wicked.

anyways. i'm already done with the design for my kampung invite card, just waiting for my dad's approval before proceed to printing and this weekend i gotta go buy paper from the kilang. also to find tailor to sew my baju for akad nikah and kenduri. anyone know any good bridal baju tailor with reasonable price plisss let me know ye. i've checked the butik2 pengantin di Semua House and at average, for baju yg lace2 & ada manik2 tu, they charge Rm450 sepasang. mcm mahal je dah lah saiz baju mak tak guna byk benang..wah! and that 450 is for simple kurung design, kalau nak buat baju yang extravagant ada pelepah sana sini, tambah lagi extra bape ratus la kot.

saya juga sangat ambitious untuk menggubah sendiri hantaran. so i already started buying the hantaran stuffs plus the deco stuffs like all the ribbons, cloth, sponge and whatnots. punye le teruja. i know there's still plenty of time tapi mengikut nasihat kawan2 saya, siap je awal2 nnt tak kelam kabut. plus u know la me & my OCD disease, semua benda nak kena belek betul2.

now i'm gathering ideas of favours to give to the guests. i already have few in mind but few more wouldnt do any harm kan. so any suggestions guys?

u know what, i've been to JB few times before and never really like the place. for some reasons, i always have this 'mafia wars' feeling whenever i'm there. i dont know if it's the people, the wheather, the haywire traffic or the disgustingly big sporty sportscars yang buat saya berasa begitu.

tapi itu semua dulu, sekarang saya tidak rasa begitu lagi. the glorious variety of food they have there has changed me. mungkin trip saya ke JB sebelum ini hanya melibatkan makan di rumah, jalan2 di tepi Pantai Lido dan bergaduh dengan nurse di Hosp. Sultanah aminah. now that, i've been exposed to the FOOD there, segalanya bertukar indah di JB - i know someone really wants to shove his mean "i told u JB is a wonderful city!" to my face by now..hahaha! yes Polt, i finally gave in to your famous "JB best lah!" vision. so, stop being mean from now on.

last weekend, i got to try ayam penyet, nasi ambang (pronounce arm-berng), sambal goreng, mi rebus johor and terutup ketam (killer!) among many other things. sorry not much food photos as i was more excited on the melantak part. lain kali saja ya.

ohh and look who i met during JB trip this time.

we had lunch at her husband new restaurant, Hui Zu Hot Wok. they serve chinese food, like Cheng Ho. i dint try their salted egg crab sbb sudah melantak itu terutup the night before kan but their fried prawn with oats ialah sangat hebat! all the food comes in big portion - kuey tiaw goreng makan 2 org pun tak habis. anyway, Mek Ann masih seperti dulu- hidung masih 'Faizal' and cara jalan yg ganas walaupun anak sudah 3. syabas betty!

atleast, now i know i got other friends untuk bersukaria di JB :)

my my..now where should i start.
i blame FB for being so addictive and so simple - justifikasi yang langsung tidak perlu sebenarnya - yang telah membuatkan saya lupa tentang kewujudan blog ini. ok, suddenly that kinda sound lame pulak tapi takpe lah.

so yeah. where to start. telling the world that i'm now safely, happily and finally officially engaged to the man i truly love doesn't seem like a news anymore kan. everybody sort of knew about it oredi so let me just confirm the story lah :) alhamdulillah, everything went well according to the plan. when's the BIG day u ask. let me say, tungguuuuu. hint: some time in May next year so pls keep your schedule clear ;)

fyi, i'm kinda in the midst of preparing my 'becoming bridezilla' checklist - since i'm too stingy to hire a planner - plus i figured kononnya it'd be more memorable lah if u do most of the things yourself. betul kan? and to my surprise, there're enormous amount of things to cover, i dont know how u people do it la ok. but before that, to be honest, i never imagined that i'd go through this 'phase' this SOON, hence the overwhelmness lah i guess. and back to the checklist thingy, i dont know if it's still too early to start preparing - is it? whatever it is i'm totally happy and excited walaupun terpaksa berjauhan dgn Mr.Vamp yang nun jauh di selatan.

talk about macam-macam ragam ramadhan

ok, i gave in. for the sake of a bored mak buyung's entertainment. i dont know when can i bug her to cook me buka puasa walaupun wishful thinking sangat nk ada idea mcm tu.

ok. that's prolly my longest hiatus this year. been extremely busy (default excuse sudah) with heaps of major things and current anti-social mood. dont ask me why the mood. for weeks, i feel so terribly lazy to go out meeting people, to do any work, even shop!!! despite that, i still organise events for people which i have to since that's what i do to get all the bills paid. anyway, i strongly believe this is just a phase and it will all va-vah-voom! disappear soon.

ok. *now i noticed i start all para with OK. obviously there's somethg wrong with me already!* anyway, time for pointers.


1) i've moved in to a new place last merdeka. better, safer, quiter and more civilised place i really have to say. eventhough i gotta travel a bit further everyday to work (and pay extra money for toll also!) i really think it's a wise move i've made. and i'm loving every bits and pieces of my new home so very much.


2) since everybody was making so much noise about how 'skin & bones & head bigger than stomach'-looking i am, and my colleagues also not really helping by pestering me to go for checkup ALMOST EVERYDAY!, i decided to do my second thyroid test plus 2 other basic blood test last monday, itu pun after saya dapati semua ill-fitting baju saya telah longgar. hah! scary tak scary skang? anyways, my first test which was 6 months ago came up negative so pray to Allah that it'd still remain negative this friday.

3) today is 19th day of Ramadhan. and i'm proudly telling y'all that i havent been to any PARAM yet and have no intention whatsoever to do so pun. tak kuasa ok nak sesak2 pastu dah la kena parking jauh. saya lagi rela pergi drive-thru mcD. plus, dah kata anti-social.

4) this year, my married brother is going to spend the 1st few days of Syawal with us. everybody is so excited and all of us sudah siap sedia dengan baju raya merah jambu. my mom said, "senang, nanti sapa2 kawen pakai je balik baju raya tahun ni tak payah buat tema lain dah" with a slight intensity in the tone tu bila sampai kat the K-word but as usual lah, i couldnt help myself, pretended not to hear it.

5) i'll be on leave more than a week this raya and after so many years, i finally get the chance to celebrate my birthday with the whole family. how hen liaw pou chee!

6) i dont understand how Tereng.ganu State Government people's minds work? demolish heritage building to build heritage? tak bunyi mcm bodoh ke tu? anyway, i'm trying to get as many support as i can to help save whatever heritage buildings left in the state from beingFORCED to bite the dust. i've created a protest page on FB and really appreciate if u can join my petition here. our goal is to collect atleast 1000 members before forwarding it to the higher lever. insyaAllah.

talk about gulai nenas ikan masin

for some reasons in the past few days, i was super craving of gulai nenas ikan masin sampai tak boleh tido malam. serious okeh. tambah pulak time2 tgh ganti puasa mcm ni, kelaparan yang memuncak tu lagi buat saya mengidam. maka, saya pun tunaikan la hajat tu semalam. langsung pagi ni terbabas. anyways, sapa2 yg termengidam pulak lepas ni, below is the recipe ;)


Bahan-bahan;

sebiji nenas (saiz kecik la, tak pun pakai nenas cap ayam pun boleh)
2 bawang merah (tumbuk)
2 bawang besar (tumbuk)
3 garlic (tumbuk)
halia, kunyit, cili padi (tumbuk)
1 cwn santan pekat
1 cwn santan cair
1 sudu besar serbuk kari
ikan kering (talang or kurau or pape je la yg korang suka) - rendam

Cara memasak;

tumis bahan yg ditumbuk sampai harum, masukkan santan cair. kacau then masukkan ikan kering. biarkan kejap then masukkan santan pekat and nanas and masak sampai mendidih. senang kan? :)

of course saya ada beribu cerita untuk dikongsi tapi buat masa sekarang, biar saya focus on the more important topic first- beauty. hah! *topic vain pun vain lah tp i tau ramai je yang suka*

for some unexplainable reasons, i seem to enjoy playing dress up and make up lately. hah! i know some of u are already laughing when i say this, even myself found it pretty humorous. ok, saya tahu fakta itu adalah agak aneh bagi mereka yang telah lama mengenali saya. hellooo.. moi yg dulu2 apply baby oil je as face moisturiser sbb bangga sangat muka suci takde jerawat kan. oh yes, i'm INNOCENT like that tapi skang nak cerita pasal apa nak tepek kat muka kan. hah!

anyway, this is not an attempt to be Bobbi Brown and share techniques to smooth complexion and how to be FIERCE! la ok. im just sharing info (info? :P) on these 3 must have wonderful products yang saya sangat cinta buat masa sekarang. like seriously seriously cinta ok.

1. Body Shop Vit E Hand & Nail Treatment (RP: RM39.90)

one of my compulsive buy yang tidak dikesali sama sekali. there's a story behind this purchase which sangat memalukan diri sendiri kalau dicerita. anyway, this product has earned a permanent spot in my handbag as ia sangatlah berjasa for my ULTRA dry skin. the texture is a BIT sticky (as shea butted is part of the ingredients ) but it goes off after apply. it's easily-absorbed into the skin, leaving soft silky feeling so kalau nak jalan pegang tangan boyfriend pun tak perlu risau si jejaka akan terperanjat mcm kena letrik. i like it so much becoz i have rough cuticles/hard skin at the side of the nails there, and this thing really helps. and it can last the whole day hanya dengan sekali sapuan (klu korang tak basuh tangan laaa)

2. Lancome Everlasting Foundation with SPF 20 (RM130 for 30ml)


this is the current STAR on my dressing table. saya sangat cinta this stuff sbb ia memberi kesan seperti magic. serious tak tipu ok. i've been using this for nearly a month now and received heaps of compliment about my skin ever since : "your skin dah ok!", "kulit ko dah makin cantik la nyah", "kulit ko dah cantik sket" dll but none of them noticed the INVISIBLE layer of foundation yg melekat kat muka saya (dah kata invisible kan) plus, it hides the annoying marks i have on the face dengan effect yang oh so perfectly NATURALE and it feels super duper light too. and since it's aqua-based product, it doesnt clog the pores, easy to apply and double easy to wipe off. so what's there not to love? :)

3. Simple Eye Make-up Remover (RM16.90)


hands down y'all, this is the best remover ever! atleast for me as i've tried few brands before and none of those brands could make make-up removing moment as SIMPLE as this one. this non-colour, non-fragrant liquid works so gently to your skin and makes it feel healthy and really CLEAN after a couple of wipes. ok la, mak punya make-up pun bukan la tebal mcm artis kan so mmg la senang nak tanggal kan, u say. but point is, this entry is about my favourite beauty products and sukahati korang la nak cakap apa *tetibe nak emo kenapa? :P*. and afterall, who doesnt love simple things la kan.

so those are 3 highly recommended products by me. there're more actually tapi ya ampuuuunnn.. saya sangat malas nak tulis. ini pun mmg dah ada dlm drafts dah dekat seminggu..huhu.

talk about pain in the ass (literally) and my heart glow in the dark

seronok okay balik kampung duduk bwh ketiak mak.

wlupun dia bising2 almost everytime suh saya pi berubat - dalam mak saya punye term, itu maknanya berubat cara kampung bukan pegi beratur kat klinik kerajaan - saya tetap vote rumah adalah heaven on earth. ok, pastu Mekah la. wahhhh..tetiba statement mcm tu kenapa. well, insya Allah. and my mom is always my most favourite person on earth wlupun i'm her total opposite dlm kepercayaan mistik ni. tapi mak saya mcm Temet, tak suka pulak nak tengok cerita Seekers tu. org taurus mmg emosi celaru. wah..rhyme la pulak tetibe.

anyways. about the backpain, it is still there. i'm on no special medications, just painkillers and some kind advise not to add more stress to the torn tissue. apparently there's a tear in the thigh ligament near to the hipbone and a slight dislocation which sakitnye tade la pulak nak slightly je kan. i tell u that's what a few drops of water on the floor can do to u so please don't underestimate lopak2 air yang innocent itu. seperti nyamuk, ia boleh membunuh.

ohh..being at home has been awesome. ada banyak fakta baru yang menarik dan juga yang menyampah nak dengar.

FAKTA MENARIK

1. semua orang dah habis study dan cuti sekolah pun dah start so this time saya tidak pulang ke rumah yg kosong. tak mesra okay balik ke rumah yang bergema gema gema.

2. sepupu saya bakal bernikah dgn org kelantan yang mana parents beliau mmg anti-kelantan. talk about irony. tapi pakcik dan makcik saya mmg cool, mereka tetap akur dgn pilihan anak teruna mereka wlupun pihak lawan telah meminta hantaran mengalahkan artis popular.

3. i totally dont understand with my mom's obsession dgn pinggan mangkuk periuk dan sudu besi. she came back from langkawi - for the 3rd or 4th time this year - a day before i arrived and bought loads of those stuffs dh serupa mcm nak bukak kedai duty free kat kampung ni. plus tak sempat pulak nak sorok betul2 dari yours truly mmg nasib la kan. tidak lupa juga sekedai of Toblerone snacks utk tujuan rasuah. normally i will give a long kempen kesedaran speech but turned out this time, i dint say anything kerana i realised that life is short and whatever makes my parents happy, i live happy.

4. my long time no hear cousin surprised us by a phone call to my brother saying he wants to stay at our house for a week of his study break. we havent seen him for almost a decade and thought we'd never ever hear from the family again after my uncle died last 2 years.

5. my parents had a kenduri doa selamat done yesterday. for some unexplainable reasons, my mom decided to cook nasi minyak, of all nasi dan freakily good mood sepanjang hari. motif beliau amat dicurigai.

6. my kid brother has grown taller than me. jeles. dan suara pun dah tak selembut bayi lagi.

7. my father has a thing for temper. his heart will turn into disco beat bila dia hangin. that day he went for checkup and alhamdulillah, nothing serious. just that he has minor kolestrol issue and doc said he tidak boleh marah suka suki. which is good news la kan, i suppose. tapi kan, since dia dah tak boleh marah2, he opted to membuat bunyi2 yang annoying seperti gelak secara mengilai mcm pontianak dgn sengih mcm menang grand prize 4D atau rolls his eyes like buat yoga or menari pocho2 depan muka orang yg dia nak marah. annoying okay mcm tu. kitorang pulak yg hangin.

8. my kid sister mmg ada tokoh jadi cikgu yang jual produk kat cikgu2 lain kat sekolah. she's now selling sabun gunung berapi yang effectnye setanding sk.2. habes semua mak nenek kat kampung ni jadi customer. babah pulak dah jadi downline dia. adoiaiii.

9. mak teh saya ialah makhluk tuhan paling comel selepas family saya. dia suka pecahkan perut semua orang dan bercita2 masuk AF. bukan nak menyanyi tp mengaji. comel tak comel ada tagline "sembahyang tiang agama" pulak.

10. saya sudah naik 3 kilo sepanjang berada di rumah. hebat tak kuasa masakan mak :)

ada satu je and that fact alone berjaya melenyapkan fakta menyampah yg lain. that is when we found out one of my younger cousins baru dpt kerja dgn gaji 5 angka sebulan. damn la. but of course i'm uhuk uhuk happy for him too la .
