talk about something perfect comes in red packet

we had so much fun last weekend. just the two of us.

u know, we been procrastinating on decorating our love nest ever since before we're married. especially the wall part coz we need to get it re-plastered & painted first before we can proceed with all the decorating. so last weekend we finally managed to get it done after contemplating on choice of colour for so long. indecisive me wanted egg yolk yellow/olive lime-ish green/terracota while he could only think of one colour - purple. thing is i've been living in purple my whole life and as much as i love this mysterious shade, i think it's time to look at a different hue la kan.

so last weekend, i told Mr. Vamp not to make any plans & dragged him to the hardware shop. we looked at the paint colours, tried picturing how it would turn out. after half and hour of arguing later, we found our solution...

i know!!!! grrrrrr!!!!

it was Mr. Vamp bold decision. i otoh was kinda freaked out just by hearing the word. RED! let alone having the whole room looking like a fire brigade but hey, why the hell not! as if terracotta takde traces of red kan. so i gave him the benefit of doubt. honestly, i never thought i'd ever paint any part of my home with this fiery colour. it could cause series of nervous disorder u know but now i kind liked it. it kinda made the whole room feels warmer (and sexier!). well done honey! :)

oh yes, i love this ball of fats to bits :P

then we moved to the front grill pulak. it was an eyesore with all the initial paint rusting out. this time i got to pick the colour. big deal, pffft. believe it of not, we spent more time painting this skinny iron rods than the wall. and there's nothing better to end all the hardwork than a hug and throwing our sweaty armpits into the swimming pool. ok! now that kinda sounds gross.

mission accomplished!

and that night, both of us sat proudly in front of the newly painted wall, stuffing our faces happily with bunch of home-made pizzas. for some reasons, the air had some pleasant charges in it. and i swear up till now whenever i look at the wall, i see a giant angpow packet. we'll see if it does bring some 'Ong' in ok :)
